Exploring Cyprus – Pierides Foundation Museum, Larnaca

Living in a busy place like London.  When I’m on holiday, I like to get away for walks in the country or the coast to see nature.   So, the last place I want to go, when on holiday, is a city.  However, the opportunity presented itself to visit Larnaca.  It has a beautiful beach, there’s a fort housing a medieval collection, art galleries and the Pierides Foundation.  This is where I have taken photographs of the most exquisite venetian vessels.  They were the most precious, delicate looking objects that I have seen made by man. Some of them were found underwater and have a sea worn appearance demonstrating its age and story.   They have been taken without the use of a flash and the light was so poor to help preserve them, so please forgive their quality.
